Bureau Central II

Another office building of the mighty French steel enterprise, much like the other one but a bit more modern and less graceful. It was built in the early 1900s as an administration office for a subsidiary of the steel enterprise. The company was at its peak at the end of the 60’s, having over 6000 employees, but the worldwide drop in demand of steel in the 70’s caused the company to lose ground. In the late 90’s the last blast furnace of the company shut down. The blast furnaces, factories and this administration office were left derelict.

Though there is a lot of ugly graffiti sprayed throughout the building, some beautiful artistic pieces can be found too, mainly from the artist ‘Mantra’.
