This old two-storey garage is situated in a busy street on the edge of a dike. A car elevator was attached to the back of the building, so the cars could be driven from the street into the upper level and then lowered to the level below. In 2011 a huge fire was blazing in the building, which had been standing abandoned for a few years and was inhabited by squatters for some time. Local residents stated that it was only a matter of time before something like that would happen. Nowadays it’s still standing as a burned out hull, but with a few cars still inside.
